Description
The Omen Extreme 6 FR pairs high-output humbucking tone with the flutter and dive-bombs of a Floyd Rose Special tremolo, built for players who need both aggression and stability under the fingers. The mahogany body with quilted maple top wears a See Thru Black finish that lets the grain show through, while creme multi-ply binding and vector inlays dress up the look without getting fussy.
A bolt-on maple neck delivers a bright, focused attack that plays well off the mahogany’s warmth, and the rosewood fingerboard smooths out the top end with its naturally oily, richer-in-fundamentals character. Twenty-four jumbo frets on the 25.5″ scale give you room to roam from open chords to the very top of the neck.
Schecter’s own Diamond Plus pickups are overwound with ceramic magnets, tuned for crunchy rhythm work and cutting leads, and they hold up especially well in drop tunings. Pull up on the push-pull tone knob and they split to a brighter single-coil voice for cleaner, sparklier tones when you need contrast.
The Floyd Rose Special bridge is built in Korea to Floyd Rose’s own specs, keeping the same construction as an Original Floyd Rose but with zinc alloy saddles and sustain block instead of steel and brass – a dependable, authentic-feeling trem at a more accessible price point.
