Description
The Hellraiser Hybrid C-8 takes two of Schecter’s most celebrated platforms — the Hellraiser and the SLS — and merges their best traits into one purpose-built 8-string for extended-range players. A quilted Maple top, now sculpted with a more refined arch, sits atop a Mahogany body with an enlarged upper cutaway for easier access to the highest register. The entire guitar wears a High Gloss Transparent Black Burst finish.
Power comes from EMG 57/66 active humbuckers finished with Brushed Black metal covers, delivering the tight low end and clarity 8-string players demand. Anchoring the low end is a USA-made Hipshot Non-Trem bridge, built to keep tuning rock solid under aggressive, low-tuned playing styles. Schecter Locking tuners and a Graphtec black Tusq nut round out the hardware for reliable tuning stability.
Borrowed straight from the SLS series, the neck carries a thin, fast profile with a satin finish and a compound radius ebony fingerboard — quick under the hand and comfortable for sweeping across eight strings. The fretboard inlay flips to an inverted dot pattern on the treble side starting at the 15th fret, while the Hellraiser’s signature Metal Cross inlay marks the 12th. New Carbon Fiber binding and glow-in-the-dark side dots complete the look, keeping you oriented on darkened stages.
