Description
The Schecter Banshee GT FR is built for players who live in the upper frets and lean hard on the whammy bar. Its set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps the mahogany body and flamed maple top comfortable to play all the way up the 25.5″ scale, 24-fret ebony fretboard, while the Ultra Thin ‘U’ profile neck (3-piece maple with carbon fiber reinforcement rods) stays fast and stable under aggressive playing.
Offset/reverse Roman numeral inlays and black 1-ply binding dress up the radius top without getting in the way, and the 14″ fretboard radius keeps bends smooth clear across all 24 X-Jumbo frets.
- EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 60 in the neck for high-output, articulate tone with plenty of headroom for gain
- Floyd Rose Special ‘Hot Rod’ locking tremolo, a Schecter exclusive, mated to a Floyd Rose Special nut (1.625″ width) for dive-bombs that return to pitch
- Schecter tuners and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel-access spoke wheel for easy setup and tuning stability
- Simple, reliable control layout: Volume, Tone, and a 3-way pickup switch, powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment for the active pickups
- Black hardware finished with metal knurled knobs, set against the Satin Trans Red finish
- Strung from the factory with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046)
Made in Indonesia. Note: case (SGR-1C) is sold separately.
