Description
The C-1 FR S Apocalypse takes Schecter’s proven C-1 platform and outfits it for serious high-gain work. A swamp ash body with an arched top is set-neck construction with Ultra Access, giving you clean reach to all 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets. The Rusty Grey finish gives it a distressed, weathered look that stands out from the usual gloss finishes.
- Maple/Padauk multi-ply neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods for stability under pitch dives and heavy tunings
- Ebony fretboard with a 12″-16″ compound radius, mother of pearl triangle inlays, black binding, and glow-in-the-dark side dots
- Thin ‘C’ neck profile, 25.5″ scale, 1.625″ nut width
At the bridge sits a Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI pickup built for tight low-end and cutting leads, while the neck position houses a Sustainiac unit rather than a standard pickup. Flip the switch and hold a note indefinitely, choosing between Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes via the onboard controls – a genuinely different playing tool, not just a tone option. The Sustainiac runs off a clip-in 9-volt battery housed in its own compartment.
- Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and nut for dive-bomb-ready tremolo work
- Grover tuners and Hipshot O-Ring knobs, all finished in satin black hardware
- Strung from the factory with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010-.046
Built in South Korea for right-handed players. The SGR-1C case shown is sold separately.
