Description
The Damien Platinum-6 strips away the ornamentation and gets straight to business: a mahogany body with an arched top, dressed in satin black and trimmed with silver/platinum multi-ply binding. It’s built for players who care more about how a guitar performs under a gain-heavy amp than how it looks under stage lights.
Under the hood, Schecter paired EMG 81 (bridge) and EMG 85 (neck) active pickups for that unmistakable high-output, low-noise crunch metal and hard rock players have relied on for decades. The set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps upper-fret runs comfortable, while the 3-piece maple neck carved into a Thin ‘C’ shape lets your hand move quickly across 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 14″ radius rosewood fretboard – subtle platinum bat inlays are the one nod to visual flair here.
Scale length sits at the standard 25.5″, with a 1.653″ nut width and Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut for reliable tuning stability, backed by Grover tuners and a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body design for solid sustain and easy restringing. Satin chrome hardware and knurled metal knobs round out the simple, functional control layout: volume, tone, and a 3-way pickup switch.
