Ten years on, Nick Johnston’s signature Schecter is still built around the same idea: a comfortable, fast-playing HSS platform that gets out of the way and lets the player’s touch come through. This 10th Anniversary edition keeps the core recipe intact while celebrating the milestone in the eye-catching Atomic Saffron finish over an alder body with a flat top.
The bolt-on wenge neck carries Nick’s own “C”-shaped profile, measuring 20.32mm at the 1st fret and 21.59mm by the 12th — slim enough for quick position shifts, substantial enough to feel stable under the hand. It’s capped with an ebony fretboard, a 14″ radius, metal ring inlays, and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, all set to a 25.5″ scale for familiar Fender-style feel and tension.
Up top, a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (42mm width) feeds into Schecter Nouveau Locking Tuners for tuning stability, while a 2-way adjustable truss rod with a spoke wheel at the neck heel keeps setup adjustments easy without pulling the neck.
On the body, a Schecter Nouveau Tremolo with a Music City Bridge three-string retainer handles the vibrato duties and string pull. Electronics are wired for versatility: a 5-way pickup toggle switch, master volume, and master tone with a push-pull coil split on the bridge pickup, giving access to both humbucker punch and single-coil clarity from the HSS configuration.
