The Radial BigShot PB1 packs a serious power booster and buffer into a small pedalboard footprint, engineered to keep your tone intact rather than smother it. Dial up to 15dB of boost using a guitar pick via the recessed rear control – tucked out of the way so an errant foot stomp won’t ruin your setting mid-song.
Where many pedals rely on class-B preamp designs that dull tone and give buffers a poor reputation, the PB1 runs a fully discreet Class-A circuit. That topology minimizes zero-cross distortion and produces a smoother harmonic curve, so the boost sounds like more of your guitar rather than a processed version of it. Pair that with the Drag control – a variable load correction feature that lets you recreate the exact impedance relationship between your guitar and amp – and you get a boost or buffer stage that preserves feel as much as it does frequency response.
