Description
Zach Myers has been a PRS loyalist for years, so when the chance came to rework his own signature model, he took full creative control. The result is this SE Zach Myers semi-hollowbody, built around a mahogany body and neck topped with maple for a tonal profile that leans warm but stays articulate. A flame maple veneer covers both the top and the matching headstock, finished in Myers Myers Blue that catches the light without ever looking flashy for its own sake.
Under the hood sit two 245 “S” humbuckers, each wired with its own volume and tone knob so you can dial in exactly how much bite or smoothness you want from either pickup independently. These pickups lean into vintage-style character — think punchy midrange and a slightly compressed attack that suits everything from classic rock rhythm work to soaring lead lines. A single F-hole opens up the semi-hollow chamber acoustically, adding a touch of air and resonance you won’t get from a solid-body counterpart.
Rounding out the build:
- Mahogany neck with matching flame maple headstock overlay
- Rosewood fingerboard for smooth, consistent playability
- PRS-designed tuning machines for reliable, stable tuning
- Semi-hollow mahogany body with maple top and single F-hole
Whether you’re drawn to it for the tone, the look, or the fact that a working touring guitarist had direct input into every detail, the SE Zach Myers delivers a genuinely distinctive take on the PRS semi-hollow format.
