Description
The G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr. takes the classic Gretsch semi-hollow formula and shrinks it down without shrinking the sound. Finished in Midnight Sapphire, this double-cutaway model pairs a chambered maple body with a V-Stoptail for a design that’s easier to handle on stage while still delivering the airy resonance and feedback resistance players expect from a center-block build.
Under the hood sits a fresh set of Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, built with a mix of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets. The result is a pickup voice with pushed-forward mids, lows that stay tight instead of muddy, and highs that shimmer rather than bite—useful across rock, indie, and roots-leaning styles alike.
Playability comes from a soft “C”-profile nato neck and a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays, plus a genuine bone nut for clean, consistent string break. Control-wise, you get the traditional Gretsch layout: master volume, master tone, and independent volume knobs for each pickup, all topped with vintage-style radio knobs. A push/pull switch on the master volume unlocks coil-splitting, opening up single-coil textures alongside the full humbucker output.
Rounding out the build:

- Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and Gretsch V-Stop tailpiece
- 1-ply cream or 3-ply black pickguard
