Description
The G5655TG shrinks the Center Block formula into a single-cutaway body that’s easier to wrangle on stage but loses none of the twang and growl Gretsch is known for. A chambered spruce block runs through the laminated maple body, tightening feedback resistance while keeping the resonant, airy quality that separates these guitars from solid-body electrics. The result is a guitar built for volume—loud, dynamic, and articulate without turning into a squealing mess at the front of the amp.
- Single-cutaway semi-hollow body in laminated maple with a gloss finish
- Chambered spruce center block for added sustain and reduced feedback at high gain
- Maple neck, Thin U profile, set into the body, finished in gloss
- Laurel fingerboard with a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and NeoClassic thumbnail inlays
- 1.69" Graph Tech NuBone nut for smooth tuning stability
- Dual Black Top Broad’Tron humbuckers wired in parallel, passive, for punchy, dynamic pickup response
- Controls: individual volume for each pickup plus master volume and master tone, 3-way pickup switch
- Gold hardware throughout, including die-cast tuners, a pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece
- G-arrow knobs and Orange Stain finish for classic Gretsch presence on stage
- 24.6" scale length, 6-string, right-handed
Whether you’re chasing rockabilly snap, indie jangle, or a heavier gain-driven edge, the Broad’Tron pickups keep note definition intact while the Bigsby adds pitch-shifting flutter without derailing tuning. This is a guitar meant to be played loud and proud—case sold separately.
