Description
The G6609TG carries the Broadkaster name into Gretsch’s center block lineup, built for players who want full-bodied tone without the weight of a solid-body electric. A chambered spruce center block sits inside the laminated maple body, opening up resonance and warmth while keeping the guitar comfortable to hold through long sets. The double-cutaway silhouette is finished in Vintage White and trimmed with aged white binding, gold hardware, and a tortoise pickguard bearing the gold Gretsch logo.
Powering the sound are two U.S.-made Full’Tron pickups, a bridge and neck pair engineered for a broader sonic footprint than earlier Gretsch pickups. Expect the familiar chime and shimmer the brand is known for, but with a firmer midrange push that helps the guitar cut through and hold up under overdrive or heavier gain. A three-way toggle selects bridge, neck, or both, with independent volume controls for each pickup plus master volume and tone.
Playability comes from a maple neck in a Standard “U” profile, topped with an ebony fingerboard carrying a 12″ radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. Aged pearloid thumbnail inlays and matching aged white neck binding tie the look together. A Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh locking tuners keep tuning stable, while the anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge pairs with a string-thru Bigsby for expressive vibrato without sacrificing sustain.
