Description
Long before signature guitars were common, Gretsch teamed up with Chet Atkins to shape what became the 6120 – and this G6120T-55 Vintage Select Edition faithfully recreates that 1955 blueprint, right down to the aesthetic details players still chase decades later.
- Twin TV Jones T-Armond pickups deliver the layered, articulate voice this model is famous for, while the traditional Gretsch dual-volume-plus-master-tone layout and 3-way switch let you dial in a wide spread of tones.
- New “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors smooth out the tone control’s response and add a silky vintage edge to the high end.
- A comfortable “U”-profile maple neck carries a 12″ radius ebony fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, playable no matter your fretting-hand style.
- The pinned aluminum compensated bridge pairs with a Bigsby B6GBVF vibrato for wobble-friendly playing that still holds pitch, and the polished aluminum nut adds that signature snap.
Visually, it’s pure Golden Era Gretsch: aged white body binding with black purfling, a gloss nitrocellulose finish over flamed maple laminate, aged pearloid block inlays with the classic Western motif, a gold thick plexi pickguard with the Gretsch logo, gold “G Arrow” knobs, and gold Grover Sta-Tite tuners. It’s a single-cutaway hollow body built to reward players who want vintage vibe without vintage headaches.
Ships with the G6241 Gretsch 16″ Deluxe Hollow Body Hardshell case.
