Description
This Standard Stratocaster HSS takes the familiar Strat silhouette and dresses it up with a glossy black finish, a matching painted headstock, and a mirror-like chrome pickguard that catches the light on stage or at home. It’s a Squier built under Fender’s design direction, so you get the DNA of the original without the premium price tag.
Under the hood, the HSS configuration gives you flexibility most single-coil Strats can’t match. The bridge-position humbucker delivers a thicker, more aggressive tone for rock and heavier styles, while the single-coil middle and neck pickups keep those glassy, quacky Strat sounds intact. A 5-position blade switch lets you move between them, including the classic in-between settings players lean on for funk and clean textures.
The agathis body is finished in polyurethane and mated to a satin-finished maple neck carved in a comfortable “C” profile. Its Indian laurel fingerboard has a 9.5″ radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, making bends and chord work feel natural whether you’re just starting out or have years on the fretboard already.
