Underneath that eye-catching quilted maple top and gloss Black Cherry finish sits a mahogany body paired with a 3-piece mahogany set-neck, giving this guitar the dense, resonant foundation that heavy tones demand.
Schecter’s Ultra Access neck joint clears the way to the upper register, so lead runs and pinch harmonics up at the 24th jumbo fret come through unobstructed. The rosewood fingerboard is dressed with Gothic Cross inlays and abalone binding, adding some visual menace to match the tone.
Tone-wise, the active EMG 81TW and EMG 89 humbuckers are the real workhorses here – tight, saturated, and built for sustain. Both volume knobs feature push-pull coil tapping, letting you split the humbuckers into cleaner, single-coil-flavored voicings when you need texture beyond the wall-of-gain default. An Original Floyd Rose tremolo keeps everything locked in tune through aggressive bends and dive bombs, while Grover tuners and black chrome hardware round out a build made to hold up on stage.
