The Jackson Pro Series King V KVT wears its metal pedigree openly, from its razor-sharp body outline down to its 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Finished in Snow White with crisp white binding tracing the mahogany body, neck, and pointed 6-in-line headstock, it looks every bit as imposing as it sounds.
Under the hood is a one-piece maple neck-through-body construction, reinforced with graphite and joined via a scarf joint for stability that holds up to aggressive playing and detuned strings. A hand-rubbed oil finish keeps the neck feeling fast and unobtrusive, while the 12″-16″ compound radius fingerboard flattens out as you move up the neck, making high-fret bends and sweeps feel natural rather than forced. Jumbo frets and shark eye block inlays complete the neck’s playing feel and visual character.
Tone comes from a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers – a JB in the bridge and a ’59 in the neck – configured for the kind of high-output, well-defined attack that modern rock and metal riffing demands without turning to mud on chords. Simple volume and tone speed knobs sit alongside a 3-way toggle, keeping the controls out of the way when you’re moving fast across the neck.
Hardware is all business: a radius-compensated TOM-style bridge with anchored tailpiece keeps intonation accurate string to string, while sealed die-cast Jackson tuning machines hold pitch through heavy riffing sessions.
