Description
The Westerly OM-140CE brings back the feel and looks of classic 1960s Guild flat-tops in an orchestra-model body that’s comfortable whether you’re flatpicking, strumming, or working out fingerstyle arrangements. The solid Sitka spruce top pairs with solid African mahogany back and sides for a tone that’s warm underneath but still clear and articulate on top, and the cutaway keeps the upper frets within easy reach.
Guild dressed this one up with details that nod straight back to its heritage: a tortoiseshell pickguard, the Chesterfield headstock emblem, a black/white striped rosette with a mother-of-pearl ring, and a vintage-shaped neck carved into a comfortable C profile with a 1 3/4″ nut. The fingerboard and bridge are Indian rosewood, with NuBone used for both the nut and saddle to help open up the guitar’s resonance.
For amplified playing, a Fishman Sonitone system sits discreetly inside the soundhole, with volume and tone controls and an endpin jack so you can go from bedroom to stage without changing your setup. It ships strung with D’Addario EXP16 coated phosphor bronze light strings and comes in Guild’s lightweight polyfoam case.
