The OM-240E takes Guild’s orchestra-body blueprint and pairs it with a woodier, warmer voice thanks to solid Sitka spruce on top and mahogany used throughout the back and sides. Guild’s arched-back construction isn’t just cosmetic here—it pushes projection and sustain beyond what you’d expect from a mid-sized body, giving the guitar a fuller low end and a sweeter top without losing clarity when you dig in with a pick.
Under the hood, a scalloped X brace keeps the top responsive, while a Slim C neck profile and 16″ fingerboard radius make fast chord changes and lead lines feel natural. The 1 11/16″ nut width strikes a comfortable middle ground for players moving between electric and acoustic. Bone nut and compensated bone saddle add clarity and sustain, and the Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge bring a smooth, articulate feel under the fingers.
Plugging in is handled by Guild’s own AP-1 active acoustic piezo pickup, making this a genuinely stage-ready instrument rather than just a bedroom picker.
