Description
Left-handed players finally get the full Chet Atkins experience with the G6120LH, a faithful lefty build of Gretsch’s Professional Collection flagship. The 16″ wide, 2.5″ deep single-cutaway hollow body is carved from laminated maple with an arched top, wrapped in multiple layers of binding and finished with bound, oversized F-holes that give this guitar its signature air and resonance.
The rock maple neck carries a 22-fret ebony fingerboard, bound and inlaid with Neo-Classic thumbnail markers, sitting on a 12″ radius with a 1.6875″ nut width and 24.6″ scale. It’s a comfortable, familiar feel for anyone who’s spent time on a Gretsch hollow body — just mirrored for lefties.
Tone comes from dual High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups wired through a 3-position toggle (bridge, both, neck) plus independent volume controls for each pickup, a master volume, and a 3-position master tone switch for dialing in everything from bright and open to rolled-off warmth.
Hardware is dressed in gold plating throughout: Grover Rotomatic die-cast tuners, a rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic bridge, and the essential Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece with Gretsch logo and flat handle for that unmistakable shimmer and dive. Details like the curly maple headstock overlay, horseshoe inlay, gold plexi pickguard with Chet Atkins signpost, and knurled strap retainer knobs round out the vintage-forward look.
