Description
The Sonoran SCE brings a slice of Southern California surf-and-sun history to a gig-ready acoustic-electric package. Finished in a striking Candy Apple Red gloss, it pairs a tight-waisted dreadnought cutaway body with details that nod straight back to Fender’s golden era: a three-ply pickguard, bone nut and compensated bone bridge saddle, and the vintage-style Fender “Viking” bridge.
Tone comes from a solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing over laminated mahogany back and sides, giving the Sonoran SCE a lively, articulate voice with plenty of headroom for strumming or fingerstyle work. A checkerboard rosette and body binding dress up the look, while the vintage C-shaped maple neck feels familiar in hand and stays true thanks to a dual-action truss rod. The neck even carries a painted Stratocaster-shape headstock, tying the whole instrument back to Fender’s electric guitar roots.
Plug in and the Fishman Isys III system with active onboard preamp and built-in tuner makes amplified performance simple and reliable, whether you’re playing a coffeehouse set or a full stage show.
