Description
The PM-1 Limited Adirondack Dreadnought sits at the top of Fender’s Paramount lineup, pairing traditional dreadnought construction with details usually reserved for boutique builds. This particular example is an open box unit in mint condition, so you get a full-price instrument’s craftsmanship without the full-price tag.
The solid AA Adirondack spruce top is scalloped and X-braced underneath, giving the guitar a lively, headroom-rich voice that opens up further with age. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides add low-end warmth and complexity, while the mahogany neck in a comfortable “C” profile keeps the feel familiar in hand. An ebony fingerboard and ebony bridge contribute snap and clarity, and bone is used throughout at the nut, saddle, and bridge pins for improved sustain and definition.
Plugged in, the Fender/Fishman-designed PM preamp puts volume, bass, treble, tuner, and phase controls right at your fingertips, making the transition from living room to stage seamless. Cosmetic touches like the checkerboard rosette, aged white and black binding, and a yellow marble pickguard give it a distinct look that still nods to classic Americana design.
