Description
The CD-60S takes Fender’s Classic Design formula and sharpens it for players just getting started, without cutting corners on tone. A solid spruce top pairs with mahogany back and sides to push out that classic dreadnought voice – warm low end, clear mids, and enough projection to fill a room whether you’re strumming campfire chords or working through fingerstyle patterns.
What really sets this one apart is the neck. Fender’s ‘Easy-to-Play’ shape, combined with rolled fingerboard edges, means your hand glides along the walnut fingerboard instead of catching on sharp corners – a small detail that makes a big difference during long practice sessions. A 12″ fingerboard radius and vintage frets keep the feel smooth and familiar, while 3mm pearloid dot inlays help you track your position at a glance.
Under the hood, a dual-action truss rod keeps the neck adjustable and stable over time, and the whole guitar is finished off with a black pickguard and chrome hardware for a clean, classic look. It ships strung with Fender’s Dura-Tone Coated 80/20 Bronze strings (.012-.052 gauge), which resist corrosion and hold their tone longer than standard uncoated sets.
