Description
The G2420T Streamliner Hollow Body brings a bold, modern twist to That Great Gretsch Sound. Built around an arched, laminated maple body with a single cutaway and parallel bracing, it’s constructed for players who want vintage hollow-body character with a bit more punch and clarity behind it.
That punch comes courtesy of the Broad’Tron BT-2S humbucking pickups, a Streamliner-exclusive design that tightens up the bass, keeps the highs clean, and pushes a throaty midrange forward — great for everything from jangly chords to overdriven leads. Controls stay familiar and functional: independent volume for neck and bridge pickups, a master volume and master tone, and a three-way switch to move between them.
The nato neck carries a thin “U” profile that feels equally at home fingerpicking or ripping through riffs, topped with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard, pearloid Hump Block inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets. A Bigsby-licensed B60 vibrato tailpiece adds pitch-bending shimmer, while the Adjusto-Matic bridge — seated on a secured laurel base — along with a synthetic bone nut, keeps tuning stable through all that wobble.
Visually, the G2420T checks every classic Gretsch box: aged white body binding with upgraded purfling, enlarged F-holes for extra acoustic voice, nickel hardware, vintage-style black knobs, and a three-ply tortoise pickguard, all finished in the eye-catching Golddust colorway.
