Description
Fishman rebuilt the Platinum Stage from the ground up, and it shows in how transparently it handles acoustic tone. At its core sits a discrete, high-headroom Class-A preamp running on 17 volts, giving you fast, precise circuitry that keeps distortion out of the signal path and detail intact. Whether you’re plugging in a flattop, a mandolin, or upright bass, this pedal is voiced to stay musical.
Tone shaping comes from Fishman’s familiar EQ centers plus a sweepable mid band and adjustable low-frequency filter, so you can dial out boominess or carve space in a mix without fighting feedback. A switchable guitar/bass EQ mode reconfigures the response curve for lower-register instruments, making the Platinum Stage genuinely useful beyond guitar duty. A phase invert switch gives you another tool for taming feedback on stage.
Practical stagecraft features round it out: a volume boost switch with its own level control for solos or seamless instrument swaps, and a balanced XLR D.I. output with selectable pre/post EQ and automatic ground lift for clean connections to the board. The included belt-clip makes it an easy grab for mobile players like fiddle and mandolin performers who move around during a set.
Power it with a standard 9-volt battery (rated for roughly 70 hours), an optional Fishman 910-R adapter, or 48-volt phantom power straight from your mixer or interface — no batteries required. Housed in a compact, road-ready enclosure measuring 5.6″ L x 3.3″ W x 1.2″ H and weighing just 0.65 lbs, it’s built to travel.
