The Godin 5th Avenue Jumbo P90 in Harvest Gold takes the familiar vintage-inspired 5th Avenue silhouette and deepens it into a Jumbo-sized body, adding a rounder, sweeter low end and bigger projection without losing the archtop character players love. It’s a guitar that feels equally at home comping jazz chords, twanging through alt-country licks, growling out delta blues, or driving straight into rock territory.
Canadian craftsmanship shows up in every detail. The arch top, back, and sides are built from Canadian Wild Cherry, finished in a rustic satin that lets the wood’s natural character show through. A Silver Leaf Maple neck topped with a Rosewood fingerboard delivers a comfortable 24.84″ scale feel, while a Graphtech Adjustable TUSQ bridge and trapeze tailpiece keep tuning stable and tone lively. The custom-engraved headstock plate rounds out the vintage aesthetic.
Tone comes courtesy of two Godin Kingpin P90 single-coil pickups, known for their punchy midrange and gritty edge compared to standard humbuckers. A 3-way switch plus dedicated volume and tone controls put a wide range of textures within easy reach, from clean and warm to raw and biting.
