The Telecaster earned its reputation as the working musician’s guitar decades ago, and Squier’s Classic Vibe ’50s edition keeps that spirit alive without the vintage price tag. This one wears a Butterscotch Blonde gloss polyester finish over a pine body, paired with a vintage-tinted gloss maple neck cut in a Modern “C” shape. The 9.5″ radius fingerboard and 21 medium-jumbo frets make bends and chords feel easy under the fingers, whether you’re playing twangy country runs, blues turnarounds, or jazz chords.
What separates this model from its Vintage Blonde sibling is the pickup set: custom Alnico 5 single-coils in the bridge and neck deliver a bit more warmth and clarity alongside that classic Tele bite. A 3-way blade switch, master volume and tone keep things simple, while vintage-style tuners, a synthetic bone nut, and a 3-saddle strings-through-body bridge with brass barrel saddles round out the old-school hardware. It ships strung with Fender USA NPS strings (.009-.042).
Bundled in is the MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay, a stompbox built around genuine bucket-brigade circuitry for that warm, organic repeat sound digital delays struggle to match. It runs from tight slapback echoes up to 600ms, with a straightforward three-knob layout for Delay, Mix, and Regen. Flip the pedal open and you’ll find two internal trim pots for adjusting modulation width and rate, letting you dial in everything from subtle pitch wobble to swirling, Gilmour-style textures.
