Description

Seymour Duncan’s RTM (“Rattus Tonius Maximus”) is the signature bridge pickup of Ratt guitarist Warren DeMartini, part number 11103-10-B in black. It’s a high-output trembucker wound around an Alnico 2 magnet, giving it enough punch for heavy rhythm work while keeping the note-to-note clarity that lead playing demands.

DeMartini built his reputation as one of the standout guitarists of the 1980s through Ratt’s run of multi-platinum hits, including “Round and Round” and “Lay It Down.” His playing mixed dense chord voicings with fast, precise solo lines, and that combination shaped the design goals behind this pickup – it needed to stay tight and articulate under gain without losing the aggression his rhythm parts required.

Because it’s a trembucker, the RTM is wound wider than a standard humbucker to line up properly with the string spacing of guitars fitted with a Floyd Rose or similar tremolo bridge, making it a natural fit for guitars built for divebombs and heavy tremolo use.

  • Alnico 2 magnet for a rounded, high-output tone
  • Trembucker spacing for tremolo-equipped bridges
  • Designed for aggressive rhythm work and clear, precise lead tone
  • Signature model developed with Warren DeMartini of Ratt
  • Black finish, part number 11103-10-B
