Description
The Jackson PDX-2 Demmelition King V puts Phil Demmel’s touring rig within reach, replicating the specs he relies on for thrash-metal precision. The Demmelition body shape is carved from basswood and finished in gloss black with sharp silver bevels, giving it an aggressive look to match its output.
A three-piece maple neck runs through the body with graphite reinforcement for stability under heavy bends and dive-bombs. The Speed Neck profile is fast under the hand, and the compound-radius rosewood fingerboard (12″-16″) flattens out as you move up the neck, making shredding in the upper register feel natural. White neck binding and pearloid sharkfin inlays across 24 jumbo frets give it that classic Jackson look, while the black-bound headstock carries Jackson-branded tuners.
EMG HZ humbuckers in the neck and bridge deliver the tight, high-output tone this shape is known for, controlled by dual volume knobs and a straightforward 3-way blade switch. A Floyd Rose R3 locking nut pairs with the Floyd Rose Special double-locking 2-point tremolo, so aggressive whammy use stays in tune, and black hardware keeps the look cohesive throughout.
