Description
The Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK3QM is built for players who need speed, clarity, and pitch-bending drama in equal measure. Its alder body wears a quilted maple top finished in Chlorine Burst, pairing eye-catching figure with the punch and midrange bite alder is known for.
Pickups come from Seymour Duncan: a JB TB-4 humbucker at the bridge delivers thick, aggressive sustain with plenty of push for lead work, while the Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coils in the middle and neck positions bring glassy cleans and airy top-end for cleaner passages or bluesier detours. A five-position blade switch splits and combines these pickups in six practical ways, from full humbucker snarl to single-coil sparkle, all shaped by simple master volume and tone controls.
The one-piece bolt-on maple neck features a scarf joint and graphite reinforcement for stability, plus a hand-rubbed urethane gel back finish that feels broken-in from day one. A compound 12″-16″ radius maple fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and offset dot inlays, easing the transition from open chords to high-fret bends without any fight from the fingerboard curve. A heel-mounted thumbwheel truss rod adjuster keeps setup tweaks quick and tool-minimal.
Anchoring the whole instrument is a recessed Floyd Rose FRT-02000 double-locking tremolo, matched with a Floyd Rose locking nut, so dive bombs and flutters return to pitch reliably. Jackson’s pointed 6-in-line headstock carries sealed die-cast tuners for extra tuning stability.
