Underneath the aggressive styling is a genuinely playable instrument. The poplar body pairs with a through-body maple neck reinforced with graphite and joined via a scarf joint for stability and sustain. The 12″-16″ compound radius laurel fingerboard is bound and loaded with 24 jumbo frets, so bends and leads feel effortless whether you’re low on the neck or way up high. The reverse pointed 6-in-line headstock keeps the Rhoads silhouette instantly recognizable.
Tonally, the RRX24 is armed for high-gain work. A pair of active Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups deliver a searing, compressed attack with plenty of output, controlled by two volume knobs, a single tone control, and a three-way blade switch for quick tonal shifts between rhythm and lead voicings.
