Description
The USA Select B8 takes Jackson’s extended-range platform and refines it with the craftsmanship that only comes out of the USA Select line. A beveled alder body keeps things comfortable despite the 27″ scale, while the bolt-on quartersawn maple neck—reinforced with graphite and finished in hand-rubbed oil—stays rock-stable under the tension eight strings demand.
The ebony fingerboard runs a compound radius from 12″ to 16″, flattening out as you move up the neck for effortless bends and shred-friendly access across all 24 jumbo frets. Side-dot markers keep you oriented on stage without breaking the fingerboard’s clean look. A 2.165″ nut width gives each string room to breathe, and the distinctive Jackson AT headstock (4-over/4-under) keeps string pull even.
Under the hood, dual direct-mount DiMarzio D Activator 8 humbuckers (DP820 bridge, DP819 neck) deliver the aggressive clarity extended-range playing calls for, controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs with a 3-way toggle. The Jackson HT8 hard-tail bridge anchors everything string-through-body for maximum sustain and tuning stability, while Jackson-branded sealed die-cast tuners and Dunlop locking strap pins round out hardware built to hold up night after night.
Finished in Satin Gray over a matte polyester body coat, this B8 wears its purpose plainly—no frills, just a serious tool for low-tuned, high-precision playing. It ships strung with D’Addario XL NPS strings (.009–.070) and includes a case.
