Description
The Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Custom brings back the beloved ’70s Tele Custom formula: a single-coil bridge pickup paired with a humbucking neck pickup, giving you access to bright cutting twang and a fatter, rounder voice from the same guitar. The bridge position houses a Duncan Designed TE-101B single-coil, while the neck features a Wide Range humbucking pickup under a chrome cover—flip the 3-way toggle to blend or isolate them, then dial in tone with the dedicated volume and tone knobs for each pickup.
Built on a basswood body finished in gloss polyester and dressed in a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, this Tele Custom pairs comfortably with its maple neck. The “C”-shaped profile has a vintage-tint gloss finish and carries a maple fingerboard with a 9.5″ radius, 21 medium jumbo frets, and black dot inlays—smooth and fast under the fingers, with a familiar Fender feel. A 25.5″ scale length and 1.650″ nut width keep playability in classic Telecaster territory.
Hardware stays true to the vintage-modified spirit: a string-through-body bridge with three chrome barrel saddles, vintage-style chrome tuners, and a four-bolt neck plate. Black skirted amp knobs add a nod to old-school Fender amps, while the gold-and-black Squier logo and vintage-tint headstock round out the retro look.
