Description
Eddie’s design philosophy distilled into an accessible package: the Wolfgang Special pairs an arched basswood body with a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, finished in a hand-rubbed urethane that feels broken-in from day one. This particular guitar comes in Vintage White and is being sold Open Box in mint condition, so you get the full instrument at a friendlier price point.
The compound-radius maple fingerboard (12″ to 16″) flattens out as you climb the neck, which means chords stay comfortable down low while bends and solos up top resist fretting out. Rolled fingerboard edges and 22 jumbo frets make the whole neck feel worn-in rather than new, and the fast 25.5″ scale keeps string tension familiar to anyone coming from a Strat-style guitar.
Under the hood are two direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang humbuckers wired to simple master volume and master tone controls, so tone-shaping happens at the amp, not the guitar. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo comes fitted with a D-Tuna for instant drop-D dives, and the Floyd Rose R2 locking nut keeps everything in tune through aggressive whammy use.
