Description
Fender’s Player Series takes the Stratocaster blueprint and updates it with a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, giving you the bell-like chime and snappy midrange Strats are known for, plus the freedom to abuse the whammy bar without losing pitch. The alder body wears a gloss polyester 3-Color Sunburst finish, while the maple neck carries a satin urethane back and a gloss headstock face for that mix of comfortable grip and classic Fender shine.
Under the hood, the HSS layout pairs a Player Series Alnico 2 humbucker at the bridge—thick, warm, and ready for rock rhythm or lead tones—with Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils in the middle and neck for the glassy, articulate voice Strats are famous for. A 5-way blade switch (including that useful bridge/inner-coil split) and dedicated master volume with two tone controls give you plenty of tonal range to work with.
The Modern “C”-shaped neck sits on a 12″ radius pau ferro fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, making bends and fast runs feel natural whether you’re playing blues, metal, or anything between. A synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, and the Floyd Rose locking nut and double-locking bridge keep tuning rock-solid through aggressive tremolo use. Sealed tuning machines, a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, and the signature four-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate round out a guitar built to look and feel unmistakably Fender.
