Description
The Cabronita Telecaster isn’t your standard-issue Tele, and it doesn’t try to be. Fender took the familiar bolt-on silhouette and stripped away the usual pickguard-and-single-coil formula, replacing it with a pair of TV Jones Classic humbucking pickups. The result is a guitar that still snaps and twangs like a Tele at its core, but with a thicker, punchier voice that pushes into rock and even blues-rock territory with real authority.
Loaded with two humbuckers instead of the usual single-coils, this Cabronita trades some of the glassy chime for output and midrange muscle. Chords hit harder, leads cut through a mix with more grit, and the overall tone feels fuller-voiced from neck to bridge. It’s still recognizably a Telecaster in feel and attack, just with a lot more attitude baked in.
The maple fingerboard adds brightness and snap to the top end, keeping the guitar articulate even when you’re driving those humbuckers hard. Finished in Butterscotch Blonde, it wears a look that nods straight back to Tele heritage while the pickup configuration makes clear this isn’t a vintage reissue.
