Description
The Player Stratocaster HSS takes the timeless Fender formula—chiming highs, snappy mids, and a low end that stays tight—and adds some extra muscle at the bridge. That Player Series Alnico 2 humbucker delivers thick, warm output for rock and lead work, while the Alnico 5 single-coils in the middle and neck keep the glassy, articulate Strat voice intact. Flip through the 5-way switch and you’ve got everything from full humbucker growl to that classic quacky in-between tone.
The Modern “C”-shaped maple neck is carved for comfort, with a satin back and gloss front that feel great whether you’re barre-chording or reaching for the 22nd fret. Fender extended the fingerboard to 22 medium jumbo frets on a 9.5″ radius, opening up more room at the top of the neck without sacrificing the familiar Strat feel underneath your fretting hand.
The reworked 2-point synchronized tremolo moves smoother than older designs and holds tuning better thanks to reduced friction at the posts—so you can dig into vibrato without fighting to stay in tune. Rounding things out: a synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines, 3-ply parchment pickguard, and the four-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate that’s become a hallmark of the Player Series.
Finished in Polar White over an alder body, this guitar is a genuine workhorse—versatile enough for whatever style you throw at it.
