Description
This Kurt Cobain Jaguar isn’t just a tribute — it’s a working replica of the road-worn instrument Cobain leaned on during Nirvana’s rise, right down to the mismatched pickup setup he famously wired in himself. The alder body carries a bound rosewood fingerboard dotted with pearloid markers, topped off with a Stratocaster-shaped headstock and the vintage “spaghetti” logo script.
Under the hood, a DiMarzio DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary humbucker sits in the neck position while a punchier DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion handles bridge duties — the same mismatched pairing Cobain relied on for that unpredictable clean-to-chaos tonal swing. Controls stay simple with the classic triple knurled “chrome-dome” knobs (volume, volume, tone) and a three-way toggle for quick pickup switching.
Hardware includes a black chrome Adjusto-Matic bridge for stable intonation and Gotoh sealed tuners that hold pitch reliably even under aggressive playing.
