Description
The Godin xtSA isn’t just another solid body — it’s a triple-threat instrument built to cover electric, acoustic, and synth territory without swapping guitars. The electric side runs on a Godin humbucker-single-humbucker layout, and a 5-way switch unlocks both thick humbucker growl and clear split-coil chime in positions two and four.
Roll back the electric signal and bring up the RMC transducer saddles, and the xtSA shifts into a convincing acoustic voice, shaped further by an onboard preamp with 3-band graphic EQ. You can blend the electric and acoustic sounds right on the guitar with a single cable, or keep them separate and mix at the amp or board using both outputs independently.
Synth players get real value here too: a built-in 13-pin connector ties the xtSA directly into Roland GR-Series synths and most other 13-pin-compatible gear, no extra hardware needed.
Playability matches the electronics. The xtSA borrows its 25″ scale mahogany neck from Godin’s flagship LGX-SA, so the feel is familiar and refined. The ebony fingerboard uses Godin’s ergocut shaping with medium jumbo frets, and the body pairs a silverleaf maple center with poplar wings under a figured maple veneer top, finished here in Lightburst.
