Description
Built to Eric Clapton’s own specs, this Artist Series Stratocaster is designed for players who want vintage Strat feel without the vintage Strat baggage. The alder body pairs with a 1-piece maple neck carved into Clapton’s preferred soft V shape, giving your hand a substantial, rounded grip that suits both chord work and lead runs up and down the 9.5-radius maple fingerboard.
Three Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver classic single-coil chime without the 60-cycle hum that plagues traditional Strats, and the 5-position blade switch gives you the full range of Strat tonal combinations. What sets this guitar apart electronically is the onboard circuitry: a Master TBX tone control expands your tonal palette from dark to bright, while an active mid-boost circuit adds up to 25dB of midrange punch when you need the pickups to cut through a mix or push an amp into overdrive.
The tremolo bridge is blocked in the traditional Clapton fashion, meaning it functions as a fixed bridge for rock-solid tuning stability – a setup Clapton favors for its sustain and reliability on stage.
