Description
Fender took the blueprint that started it all and quietly upgraded nearly every part of it. The American Professional Telecaster keeps the spirit of the original while sharpening the details that matter most to working musicians. It’s built in the USA with a rosewood fingerboard and finished in classic 3-Color Sunburst.
At the heart of the tone are Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coil Telecaster pickups, each voiced individually for its position using a mix of alnico magnet types. The result is that signature Fender snap with more depth and clarity than you’d expect from a standard Tele. A treble-bleed circuit keeps your top end intact even when you roll back the volume knob, so your tone doesn’t get muddy at lower settings.
The neck wears a new “Deep C” profile, a shape that sits comfortably between Modern C and U, giving your hand something substantial to hold onto whether you’re strumming chords or picking single notes. Narrow-tall frets make bending strings and fretting chords up the neck feel more precise, and a bone nut helps with sustain and tuning stability.
The bridge has also been reworked, now featuring three compensated brass barrel saddles for better intonation, paired with a redesigned “ashtray” cover that won’t get in the way of your palm muting.
