Description
The Stratocaster has been the working musician’s tool of choice since 1954, and this American Professional edition keeps that legacy moving forward rather than dressing it up in nostalgia. This particular build pairs an ash body with a rosewood fingerboard, finished in Sienna Sunburst, giving you a bit more bite and top-end snap than an alder equivalent while still landing squarely in Strat territory.
Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coils are the real story here. Rather than using identical pickups in each position, Shaw voiced the bridge, middle, and neck units individually, mixing alnico magnet types to get output and warmth tailored to where each pickup sits. Turn the volume down and you won’t lose your top end either, thanks to the treble-bleed circuit wired into the master volume control.
