The Fullerton Deluxe Legacy takes the most requested combinations from G&L’s Build To Order menu and packages them into a single, ready-to-play instrument. It’s the brand’s tribute to vintage single-coil tone, built with the refinements Leo Fender brought to the S-500 and Comanche designs decades after his original Fullerton work.
- Jet Black finish over an Alder body with a 3-ply parchment pickguard and your choice of maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Old School Tobacco finish over Swamp Ash, also with a 3-ply parchment pickguard and maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Blonde finish over Swamp Ash, paired with a 3-ply tortoise pickguard and maple fingerboard
Every version shares the same tonal foundation: a trio of Alnico V single-coil pickups delivering the warm, chiming character G&L players expect, paired with the P.T.B. (Passive Treble and Bass) control system. Rather than a single tone knob, P.T.B. gives you independent treble and bass cut controls, letting you sculpt the pickup’s frequency response far beyond what a standard tone pot allows. The neck carries a Clear Tint Satin finish that keeps the look understated while giving the wood a smooth, fast feel under the hand.
These guitars are built at G&L’s original Fullerton, California facility on Fender Avenue, the same site Leo Fender established in 1980 and often called the Birthplace of Bolt-on construction.
