Description
Designed with Wes Hauch, the PT-7 FR is a 7-string workhorse built to handle aggressive playing without losing tuning stability or comfort. A swamp ash body with a flat top keeps the tone open and resonant, while the bolt-on maple neck is carved into an Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile for fast, low-effort fretting across its 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets.
The ebony fretboard uses a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords feel comfortable near the nut while extended solos up the neck stay easy to bend and shred. Black 1-ply binding and abalone lower offset dot inlays dress up the board, and glow-in-the-dark side dots keep you oriented on dim stages.
Up front, a Floyd Rose 1500 Series nut and bridge handle dive bombs and pitch tricks without drifting out of tune, backed by Grover tuners for solid string retention. Electronics come from Seymour Duncan: a Pegasus in the bridge for tight, high-output aggression and a Sentient in the neck for articulate lows and cleaner tonal range. A volume knob with push-pull, a tone control, and a 3-way switch give you quick access to different pickup combinations, all finished in black hardware for a stealthy look against the Satin White body.
