Description
The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic takes G&L’s Option Order menu and distills it into six ready-to-play combinations, each pairing body wood, finish, and pickguard with intention. Butterscotch Blonde and Vintage Natural sit atop swamp ash bodies under a transparent finish that lets the wood grain show through, while Jet Black, 3-Tone Sunburst, Lake Placid Blue, and Fullerton Red are built from alder for a rounder, warmer voice. Every version carries a rear body contour for comfort against the ribs, and the neck wears G&L’s Clear Tint Satin finish for a fast, natural feel under the hand.

This is Leo Fender’s refined take on the traditional bolt-on single-cutaway platform. A classic boxed-steel bridge anchors the strings, while individual brass saddles allow precise intonation adjustment string by string. The single-coil Magnetic Field Design bridge pickup snaps out crisp attack with layered harmonic content, and switching to the MFD neck pickup opens up a warmer, rounder side of the guitar’s voice — think clean jazz tones through to grittier blues textures. Blend both pickups together and the ASAT Classic reveals combinations that neither position offers alone.
Every Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic is built in G&L’s original Fullerton, California facility, the same building where Leo Fender established the company in 1980 — often called the Birthplace of Bolt-on construction.
