Description
Designed in collaboration with Keith Merrow, the KM-6 is a workhorse built for players who need speed, clarity, and low-end punch without sacrificing playability. This example wears a Transparent Black Burst Satin finish over a flamed maple top, letting the wood grain show through a matte, road-ready coat.
Underneath, a swamp ash body is set-neck glued to a 3-piece maple neck carved into an Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile, with Ultra Access construction opening up the upper frets. The ebony fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets across a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords stay comfortable near the nut while bends and solos smooth out higher up the neck. Offset/reverse dot inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers keep you oriented on a dark stage.
Tone comes from a matched set of Seymour Duncan ‘Blackened’ Black Winter pickups, developed exclusively for Keith Merrow’s signature line to deliver tight, articulate output suited to modern metal and high-gain rhythm work. A push-pull volume control and 3-way switch give you access to coil-splitting options alongside standard pickup selection.
