Description
Built for Type O Negative guitarist Kenny Hickey, the C-1 EX S brings baritone punch and infinite sustain to left-handed players who need serious low-end without sacrificing playability. Made in South Korea, it’s finished in Steele Green over an arched mahogany body with black multi-ply binding, and paired with a set 3-piece mahogany neck cut using Schecter’s Ultra Access neck joint for easy upper-fret reach.
- 26.5″ scale length keeps a baritone’s extended range in tune and taut
- Rosewood fretboard with green block inlays, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and a 14″ radius
- Thin ‘C’ neck profile with a 1.653″ nut width for fast, comfortable playing
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and a 2-way adjustable truss rod
The electronics are where this guitar earns its keep: a Seymour Duncan JB SH-4B handles bridge duties with cutting, high-output tone, while a Sustainiac Retrofit SLS with Aux-2 sits in the neck position, driven by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Controls include volume, tone, a 3-way pickup switch, a KILL switch, a 2-way Sustainiac on/off, and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch cycling Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic sustain effects.
- TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body construction
- Grover tuners and black chrome hardware throughout
- Metal knurled knobs with set screws for a secure grip
- Strung with Ernie Ball Baritone Not Even Slinky strings (.012-.056)
Note: case is sold separately (SGR-Universal Guitar Case compatible).
