Description
Schecter built this Synyster Gates Custom-7 for left-handed players who want the same headless performance the signature series is known for, now in a striking Oak Green Metallic finish with gold hardware. The chambered mahogany body with a maple center keeps things resonant without piling on weight, while the headless design shifts balance and shortens the overall footprint compared to a standard 7-string.
The maple set-neck runs a 26.5″ scale and is reinforced with two carbon fiber rods for stability under 7-string tension. An Ultra Thin “C” profile neck (19mm at the 1st fret, 20mm at the 12th) sits under an ebony fretboard with a 16″ radius and 24 X-Jumbo gold frets, so bends and legato runs stay smooth across the whole range. A gold “Syn S” inlay marks the 12th fret, and Luminlay side dots glow in the dark for low-light stages.
- Hipshot 7-string headless tremolo with built-in tuning function at the bridge
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, 48mm width
- Two Schecter USA Synyster Gates Signature Humbuckers
- Master Volume/Master Tone with push-pull coil split, 3-way toggle
- 2-way truss rod with spoke wheel adjustment at the heel
- Metal dome knobs with set screws
- Strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 strings (.010-.056)
The signature humbuckers cover everything from tight rhythm chugging to articulate lead tones, and the coil-split option opens up thinner, single-coil-style voicings when you need them. This is a purpose-built instrument for left-handed 7-string players chasing both extended range and headless playability.
