Description
The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic Bluesboy takes G&L’s traditional single-cutaway bolt-on platform and loads it with one of the option menu’s most requested pickup pairings. Rather than choosing between humbucker thickness and single-coil bite, the Bluesboy gives you both: a G&L A2S4248N Alnico II humbucker sits in the neck for round, vocal warmth, while a G&L Magnetic Field Design single-coil in the bridge—designed by Leo Fender himself—delivers a sharper attack with plenty of harmonic complexity. Blend the two and the guitar opens up into a surprisingly wide tonal palette, from smoky blues leads to snappy rhythm work.
That bridge pickup sits in a classic boxed-steel bridge with individual brass saddles, giving you precise, modern intonation without straying from the guitar’s vintage-rooted feel. Every body is contoured on the back for comfort and built from either alder or swamp ash, depending on the finish option.
Up top, the hard-rock maple neck wears G&L’s Vintage Tint Satin finish, a 9 1/2″ fingerboard radius, and Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets—a combination that favors quick, smooth playability whether you’re chording or bending.
Finish and hardware combinations available:
- 3-Tone Sunburst over Alder, 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Jet Black over Alder, 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Himalayan Blue over Alder, 3-ply pearl pickguard, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Butterscotch over Swamp Ash, 1-ply black pickguard, maple fingerboard
Every Fullerton Deluxe model is built at G&L’s original Fullerton, California facility—the same site Leo Fender established in 1980 and often called the Birthplace of Bolt-on. G&L is not affiliated with Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
