Description
Southpaw metal and prog players finally get a proper 7-string option with the Omen Extreme-7 LH in Black Cherry. Schecter built this one from the ground up for lefties—not a righty conversion—so the controls, bridge, and neck all sit correctly for natural left-hand playing.
The mahogany body carries a quilted maple top under a creme multi-ply binding, giving the arched-top shape some visual depth beyond the deep red-cherry finish. It’s a bolt-on design, paired with a maple neck cut in a thin ‘C’ profile that stays comfortable across the 26.5″ scale length. A rosewood fretboard with abalone and pearloid vector inlays hosts 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 16″ radius, so bends and lead lines translate smoothly even with the extra low string.
Up top, a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (1.889″ wide) keeps tuning stable, backed by Schecter tuners and a 2-way adjustable truss rod for easy setup tweaks. The Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body construction adds sustain and helps lock in tuning stability under drop tunings.
Electronics are handled by a matched set of Schecter Diamond Plus pickups in the bridge and neck, wired to volume/volume/tone controls—the tone knob doubles as a push-pull for extra tonal flexibility—plus a 3-way switch for quick pickup changes. Black chrome hardware and metal knurled knobs with set screws round out the look.
Schecter ships it strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7-string strings (.010-.056), ready to plug in and play. Note that a case is sold separately (SGR-Universal Guitar Case compatible).
