Description
Schecter built the Hellraiser C-1 FR S LH for players who need a left-handed metal machine with real staying power. The mahogany body with quilted maple top and arched contour gets dressed up with abalone binding trimmed in black/white/black multi-ply, plus abalone Gothic cross inlays across the rosewood fretboard – all finished in Black Cherry.
The set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps those upper frets fully reachable, and the 3-piece mahogany neck carries a Thin ‘C’ profile with a 14" radius across 24 X-Jumbo frets. At 1.625" at the nut, it’s built for fast leads and heavy chord work alike, backed by a 2-way adjustable truss rod.
Electronics are set up for aggressive tones and extended sustain: an EMG 81 handles bridge duties, while the neck position houses a Sustainiac pickup with Aux-2 retrofit wiring. Controls include Volume, Tone, and Intensity knobs, a 3-way pickup switch, a 2-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch (Fundamental-Mix-Harmonic), all powered by a double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
A Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge and locking nut handle the whammy work, paired with Grover tuners and black chrome hardware throughout. Metal knurled knobs with set screws round out the build, and it ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046).
