Description
The Hellraiser C-1 is Schecter’s answer for players who need aggressive tone with zero tuning headaches. This used example pairs a mahogany body topped with quilted maple against a set 3-piece mahogany neck for a warm, stable foundation that resists warping over time. The rosewood fingerboard adds oily richness to the fundamental, keeping stray overtones tame compared to maple.
Up front, the EMG 81TW/89R active pickup pair gives you real tonal range. The bridge 81TW switches between the 81’s signature crunch and a punchier single-coil voice, while the neck 89 uses alnico V magnets with dual preamps to move between rich, warm dual-coil tone and clearer single-coil clarity. Coil-tapping is handled via push-pull volume pots, alongside a tone knob and 3-way switch.
Anchoring the whole thing is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, the standard for players who want to dive-bomb and flutter without drifting out of tune. Grover tuners with an 18:1 ratio keep string tension precise and backlash to a minimum.
